Childcare Centres.
• Monday - Friday rostered as required between 8am - 2pm
• $41.78 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading plus 12%
superannuation.
About the role
The Casual Caterer - Childcare is a crucial role that ensures the delivery of high-quality meals and snacks in our Childcare Centres. This position is responsible for preparing meals that adhere to nutritional guidelines and cater to the dietary and developmental needs of children aged six weeks to five years.
You will be expected to work flexibly, stepping in to cover absences while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Your contributions will directly enhance the well-being of children and support their growth in a nurturing environment.
Key activities of this role include:
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in care, following
approved menus and recipes aligned with NSW Health nutritional
guidelines.

• Organise kitchen supplies and delivery for both consumable and
durable goods in accordance with the annual/weekly budget under
the supervision of the Centre Director
• Champion and maintain the health, hygiene and safety standards of
kitchen utensils and equipment according to statutory regulations.
Essential requirements include:
• TAFE Certificate in Food Hygiene or equivalent experience in a similar
role
• Safe Food Handling Certificate and a current Working With Children
Check
• Demonstrated experience in planning and preparing nutritional meals
for young children
• Ability to work independently and respond flexibly to changing
situations
• Demonstrated understanding of requirements relating to health,
hygiene and safety practices, food preparation, food handling, team
work, communication, nutrition and menu planning
• Applicants will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations
against Boostrix (Whooping Cough, Tetanus, Diptheria); MMR
(Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Hepatitis A & B or demonstrate their
immunity prior to commencement
