Murray River Council is seeking an experienced and motivated People and Culture Advisor to join our People and Culture Team .
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys variety, thrives on building strong relationships, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get things done. You'll be a trusted advisor to leaders across the organisation, providing practical advice and support throughout the employee lifecycle while helping us create a positive workplace culture where people can thrive.

What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who can do more than simply coordinate HR processes. You need to have proven experience in a People & Culture Advisor, HR Advisor or similar role.
You'll need to demonstrate that you can:
A relevant qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Psychology, Public Administration or a related discipline is required, or a Certificate IV supported by substantial relevant experience in a People & Culture advisory or senior HR coordination role.
Current AHRI membership or demonstrated engagement with the HR profession will be highly regarded.
This role is not for everyone..
This is a busy, fast-paced advisory role where no two days are the same.
We are a small, high-performing team supporting a diverse organisation, which means you'll be balancing recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, learning and development, workforce projects, and employee engagement initiatives all while providing timely advice and support to leaders and employees across Council.
We're looking for someone who thrives on variety, takes ownership, works with urgency and genuinely enjoys being part of a busy team. If you're energised by a role where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn, you'll fit right in.
If you prefer a slower-paced environment with highly structured workloads and long lead times, this role may not be the right fit for you.

Salary & Benefits
Salary ranging from $87,344 – $97,825 (depending on qualifications and experience) plus, Superannuation.
